🐘💨ぞうさん / Elephant ②🐘💨
ぞうさんはシンプルな形に。
つめはしっぽに合わせて黄色にしました。
横45cm・高さ32cm・厚み約4.5cmほどです。
３月の展示に向けて仲間を増やしていきます！

The elephant has a simple, clean shape.
I matched the yellow toenails with the color of the tail.
Size: approx. 45 × 32 cm, depth 4.5 cm.
More animals will join soon for the exhibition in March!

600 × 600 × 600 mm
接着剤メーカー・コニシさんの展示会のために制作したドラゴンです。
当時の展示スペースの都合で上半身のみですが、
綺麗なパープルのグラデーションがとても気に入っています。

Blue Dragon created for an exhibition by KONISHI, a Japanese adhesive manufacturer.
Only the upper body was built due to space limitations,
but I love how the purple and blue gradients came together.

ぞうさん / Elephant ①
フラミンゴの次はこの人気者🐘
まだ体はぺったんこですが、これから立体的に。
首の傾きや目の位置、迷いますねえ。
45cm✖️31cmほど。こちらも大きめです。

I’m creating a series of animals for a large wall installation.
This week’s piece is this little elephant—always a favorite.
It’s about 45 × 31 cm, so it’s quite a sizeable one too.
The body is still flat for now, but I’ll start shaping it into 3D soon.
I’m still deciding on the tilt of the head and where to place the eye…
That’s always the most delicate part.
I’ll keep adding more animals as I work toward the exhibition in March 🐘✨

アトリエを冬仕様にしました。
小さくて、あたたかくて、大好きな場所です。

今日はフラミンゴに足が生えました。
大きくなって個別撮影が難しいので、作業机のようすを少しだけ。

フトアゴヒゲトカゲは最近いつもアトリエにいて、
冬仕様に満足しているようです🦎
壁面作品とは異色の組み合わせですが😅 相性は悪くないようですよ。
壁面作品、コツコツと進めていきます🦩🦁✨

My studio is now ready for winter—
small, warm, and one of my favorite places.
Today the flamingo finally got its legs.
It’s a bit large, so instead I’m sharing a small glimpse of my work desk.
The bearded dragon has been spending a lot of time here lately,
and he seems pleased with the warm winter setup. 🦎
It’s an unusual trio for a wall installation 😅 but they get along surprisingly well.
I’ll keep working little by little toward the wall installation 🦩🦁✨

素敵な写真スタジオでの春の展示に向けて仲間を増やします✨

I’m creating a series of paper animals for a wall installation.
This week’s piece is a flamingo — soft pink with touches of blue and gray.
The legs might be tricky to build…
But it’s already getting along well with the lion.
I’ll keep adding new friends to the series toward the March exhibition. ✨

壁面装飾のための動物たちを制作しています。
そのひとつ、ライオンの形ができてきました。
お座りポーズにしてみました🦁
サイズは48×32cm、最大厚みおよそ9cm。
このスケールを基準に、他の動物たちも制作していきます。

The lion, one of the main pieces for a large paper wall installation,
is now taking shape in a sitting pose.
48 × 32 cm, with a depth of about 9 cm.
Each animal will be created in this same scale to complete the composition.

About Craft Workshops🦀
ワークショップについてのお問い合わせをたくさんいただきました。
書籍掲載作品や CANSON ミ・タントクラフトキットに採用いただいている作品はもちろん、それ以外の立体作品（エビ・ライオン・ウマなど）も既存の型紙があり、開催可能です。
また、オリジナルテーマで型紙から制作するワークショップのご相談も承ります。

ワークショップは通常2時間程度ですが、
あらかじめ切り抜き済みの型紙を使うことで制作時間を短縮したり、反対に飾り付けのお楽しみ時間を長くとったりなど、年齢層や会場に合わせて柔軟に調整しています。

Recently, I’ve received many inquiries about my paper craft workshops. ✂️
In addition to the works featured in my books and the CANSON Mi-Teintes Craft Kits,
I also offer workshops based on other 3D paper creations — such as shrimp, lions, and horses —
all of which have ready-to-use templates.

I’m also happy to design custom workshops from scratch around an original theme.
Each workshop usually lasts about two hours,
but I can adjust the content depending on the participants —
for example, using pre-cut templates for younger children,
or adding extra time for decoration and creative finishing touches.

10月はあっという間に駆け抜けました。
昨日は、10年前にお世話になった方と、
ワークショップの会場で思いがけず再会しました。
時を経てまたつながるご縁に、じんわりあたたかい気持ちに。

いろんな制作や出会いを経て、今日は少しだけ深呼吸。
来年に向けての制作も、また新しく始まります😊💪

October has flown by so quickly.
Yesterday, I met someone I had worked with ten years ago —
a wonderful surprise encounter at a workshop venue.
It warmed my heart to see how time can reconnect people in such gentle ways.
After a month full of projects and new encounters,
I’m taking a quiet breath today before starting anew.

雲ひとつない秋晴れのもと、高学年の皆さんとは紙の動物ブローチを、低学年の皆さんとはワニのクラフトを制作しました。

最後の10分の集中力！
出来上がったパワフルなワニたち、帰りは飛んでお家に帰ったことでしょう！

KPPグループ様のご厚意で、『TSUNAGU』63号もお土産としてお配りできました。
お家でも紙の世界を楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです。

🦋🦊 Workshop at NIGAWA GAKUIN 🐊🍂
I was invited as a guest instructor for the Francisco Festa 2025 at Nigawa Gakuin.
Under a perfectly clear autumn sky, we created animal brooches with upper-grade students
and crocodile paper crafts with lower-grade students.
The last ten minutes of focus were truly amazing!
I imagine many powerful crocodiles flying home afterward.
Thanks to the kind support of KPP, each student also received a copy of TSUNAGU magazine.
I hope they’ll continue to enjoy the world of paper art at home too.
